Issue 5 updates
As the temperatures rise we will be dropping Issue 5. We are all really pumped on this issue. It is coming out a couple weeks later than we originally planned, to ensure that you get the most current footage available. Last minute decisions have been made to include stop 1 of the Toe Jam, as well as the Red Bull New Zealand trip, as seen through the lens of Brian Grubb. With those being so new, and with Matt Manzari landing new tricks everyday, we have been trying to film as much as possible to make sure this issue is packed with cutting edge riding from everyone in the sport. Issue 5 will include: Pro Spotlight: Matt Manzari, A day in the life of Aaron Reed, Inside look at the Standerd book 1.1, One on One interview with BT, Stop 1 of the 2007 Toe Jam Tour, Red Bull's human trailers trip by Brian Grubb , Trick Tips presented by The Projects and some pretty insane riding by Danny Hampson, Brian Grubb, Nick Taylor, Scott Byerly, Silas Thruman, George Daniels, Ben Horan, Tim Kovachich, Reed Hansen and many more. All of us here at Volume feel that this is our most ambitious video to date and it is certain to be worth the couple extra weeks wait. Volume Wakeskate Videos Issue 5 Available in May.

Byerly Toe Jam Stop #1, The Projects Ready to Blow Up
Wakeskaters around the world are fired up for stop number one of The Byerly Toe Jam Tour, “The Rockstar Energy Drink Rail Jam,” on April 19-21 at The Projects in Orlando, Florida.
Billed as a rail-heavy event, this contest is open to any wakeskater who registers online at
byerlytoejam.com. Late registration will be available in person (if spots are still available) on Wednesday, April 18 at 7 p.m. at the Aloma Draft House in Winter Park, Florida in conjunction with video highlights from previous Toe Jams and Volume Wakeskate Videos. Riders are encouraged to sign up online as soon as possible to guarantee a spot.
On the first day of competition, all the rail challengers will be narrowed down to 16 riders who will qualify for the weekend’s activities including a wake event on Friday and rail final Saturday. The top three rail finalists will be invited to the Byerly Toe Jam Final Event at The Projects September 20-22. Some previous champions already secured an invite, so if they place in the top three, the next highest rider(s) will be selected.
Byerly is working harder than ever to bring this wakeskate-specific tour nationwide and is excited for it to kickoff, “It’s gonna be crazy with all the new talent and new faces. The riders will be excited to qualify and the wakeskating will be the best in the world. And the consistency in landing tricks has never been better. Hammers every run, like everyday tricks. I can’t wait to see what everyone’s got”.
Rockstar stepped up big time for the Toe Jam’s first tour season as the presenting sponsor of three stops, providing some serious opportunity for today’s best wakeskaters along with scheduled broadcasts on FUEL TV. In addition, the first stop is also made possible by Sea-Doo, the official watercraft of the Toe Jam, O’Neill as the official apparel sponsor, Gator Boards as the official board company, Reef being the official footwear, Arnette for constantly supporting Byerly’s visions and Air Nautiques for making a wake event possible at this event.

New Year's Update
Sorry for the lack of news lately but let me catch everyone up again. Volume Issue Four is available to order right here on our website and should be available by now in every decent wake shop around. People that have subscriptions have already got it so don’t be the last on your block to get a hold of a copy. I know and have also heard from a variety of sources this is by far the best Issue yet-so check it out. So one of our New Year's resolutions around here at Volume is to get a new website going for 07. The new site is in the works and will be up shortly. The site is being totally redone and we are adding tons of goodies for everyone out there including downloadable ipod videos, video clips of the week, tons of pics that are easy to scroll through, clips from past issues, more info about everything we are involved with, and more info on everything in general. I have actually seen part of the layout for the new site and it is looking amazing. Like I said it should be up soon so keep your eyes peeled. In more news we had another premiere for Volume Issue Four over the holidays up in Pensacola and I must say it was the best premiere I have ever done. Big thanks to everyone who came out up there, and thanks to everyone from Alabama and everywhere else that drove to make the night really fun. Thanks to the Break on Pensacola Beach for letting us go crazy. I would also like to take this time to thank one of my new favorite bands called It Starts Today for being the coolest guys around. A huge thanks to these guys for setting everything up and putting so much work into promoting this event. After the video they rocked so hard you must go see them live if you ever get a chance! Actually I think I am going to get them to play at every video premiere from here on out if there up to it. Show them some support please and go check out some of there stuff @ myspace.com/itstartstoday! I just put up tons of pictures from the night over in our gallery so go take a look. Anyway 2007 is going to bring big things and we have some really cool stuff planned for this year! In the meantime don't let the cold weather get you down and check back for more updates soon!
